LEADING UP TO OUR SESSION

A couple of weeks before the session, I’ll confirm all details, including location, styling, and a short questionnaire to get to know your family better. If you’d like to prepare earlier or have questions, please reach out anytime.

PREPARING THE KIDS & FAMILY

My first tip: relax! I know there’s often a lot of effort in preparing everyone—styling, naps, cleaning up, and managing excitement. Let go of the idea of the “perfect shot”; each session captures your real, unique moments, which will always be perfect to you. To help kids feel at ease, avoid over-prepping them. Instead, think of it as “a fun outing with Cassy and her camera.” This light approach keeps things stress-free and natural!

STYLING ADVICE

To help bring your vision to life, I provide a growing collection of client wardrobe pieces, ideal for mums and little ones, selected to fit seamlessly with my style. For those creating their own looks, I offer personalized guidance on colors, tones, and overall aesthetic.

Remembering that while my style guide and client wardrobe include beautiful gowns and dresses, they are just suggestions! My vision for our sessions is to capture raw, authentic summer memories. So, wear what feels right for you and your family—whether that’s a lovely dress, beach shorts, or something more casual. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and true to yourselves. Let your personality shine through in your outfits!

For ocean sessions, I recommend simple, timeless swimwear in neutral colours—black or bold tones works beautifully and avoids visual distractions.

LOCATION SELECTION

I’ve curated a list of locations across Perth that align with my style, each one tried and tested for ideal lighting and setting. I’ll share these options as we approach the date, taking into account seasonal changes and your family’s preferences. If you have a unique vision, I’m always happy to explore more options with you.

For special sessions like Christmas minis, Mother's Day minis, and summer ocean lovers, I'll select the best locations based on what will create the perfect vibe and conditions for our time together. Rest assured, I'll keep you updated on the exact spots as we get closer to the session. My goal is to ensure you and your family have the most enjoyable experience possible!

THE DAY OF YOUR SHOOT

I’ll send you a final message with a detailed meeting location and be ready to assist with any last-minute questions. My best advice? Relax! Try not to stress over perfection—let’s keep it playful and organic. The most memorable shots come when everyone is at ease, connected, and in the moment.

IT’S SHOOT TIME!

Once we arrive, we’ll dive into the session with a relaxed and fun vibe! I’ll be there to gently guide you through poses, but the focus will be on capturing those natural, joyful interactions. If your little ones are a bit shy or reserved, that’s perfectly fine—those little details, like a breeze or a quiet moment, add emotion to the images. Trust me to create the magic while you soak up time with your loved ones, and let’s enjoy this special experience together!

After Your Session

In 3-4 weeks, you’ll receive a gallery link for digital download. If you’d like more images, I offer gallery upgrades.
